🌾 Hi, I'm Jihee!
I'm originally from Jeju Island, and I studied Hotel & Tourism Management before working in the hospitality industry, including time in Paris, France. A few years ago, I decided to slow down and start a new chapter of my life here in Gangjin. Now, I've been calling this beautiful countryside home for almost five years.
Today, I run a small local business where I make traditional Korean snacks, including _gangjeong_, using rice and barley grown by local farmers in Gangjin. Through food, I've learned so much about the people, culture, and everyday beauty of this region.
One of the reasons I love living here is that life moves a little slower. The mountains, the sunsets, the small villages, and the warm local community remind me every day that rest is important too.
During this trip, I'd love to share the Gangjin that I have come to love. Not just the famous places, but the hidden corners, local stories, and peaceful moments that many travelers never get to experience.
My hope is that you'll leave Gangjin feeling refreshed, inspired, and truly rested. Let's slow down together, enjoy the beauty of rural Korea, and create meaningful memories along the way. 🌿💚
